View Full Version : Collation Mark

I need to create a colored ID mark on the binding edge of signatures to help prevent binding errors. I am using Preps 5.2 and Prinergy. Is there a way using a smart mark to repeat a rotational colored mark on the binding edge? For example forms 1-4 use CMYK and repeat CMYK on 5-8 and so on? Can this mark be added to existing templates without editing the Preps template for every signature during imposition? Or am I off base by thinking this can be automated, if so are there any creative ways to do this?

Thanks m.guy. I would be interested in talking to him. Please email me his contact info. I can assume there was a fee for creating this mark for you. If you don't mind could you tell me what it cost to have your bar code created?

I had Ray Johnson create me a colored collation mark. I incorporated it with a variable text mark for sig ID into a Smart Mark group and voiala! I have what I needed.

I highly recommend Ray's services to anyone that needs a custom mark. (I sound like I'm leaving ebay feedback ;-)
