Ok..slow news day here at the forums...

Lets sound off on what some good tech gifts we are expecting ( or would like) for Christmas this year? Or Hanukkah or whatever gift giving celebration you are having...whereever you may be on the globe...

Here some starters...

- iPod Touch

- XBox 360 with HDDVD

- Home theater in a box...

Got my son a Nintendo DS - the latest game boy incarnation with dual screens, one of them touch sensitive. The thing has WiFi! If there are two users you can play against or with each other, email, etc. Looking forward to stealing it from him...

I got my wife a DS with brain age for her birthday this year. She asked for Brain Age 2 for Christmas. She LOVES her DS!

My oldest has been buying used/broken XBox units and fixing them. Kept one for himself. I just got my iPod touch and love it. Also ordered my 8-core tower for work.

My other half is getting surround sound bar for Christmas. The boys have turned my basement into a tech graveyard. Got way too much of that stuff. For Christmas, one is getting fishing gear, and the other is getting a pair of geckos.

My own wish list is a secret.

Also I finally upgraded my PowerPC G5 to an Intel iMac. Pretty slick! I like how quiet it is (the G5 always sounded like a jet engine). Cheap too! I know most of you have experienced the joys of these but although the included remote is probably fairly useless I like having it. No batteries required? Does it get it's power from Steve Jobs' aura? Included iSight is nifty too.

I want a iPod Touch and 24" iMac for home. Neither of which I expect to get. The wife surprised me last year with a MacBook Pro.

Guess I'll settle for some World of Warcraft gift cards and the last 2 Dresden Files books.

The wife is getting either and iPod Shuffle or Kodak EasyShare Camera. I haven't decided which yet.

Ohhhhhh does your wife teach a class called "Proper Tech Gifts for the Techie Husband"

She rocks. My wife is scared to buy me anything that could even come close to a tech item...which pretty much cuts out anything that plugs in or has batteries...damn

Ah, World of Warcraft. My oldest is addicted. I managed to find him a t-shirt from Blizzcon. He'll be tickled I think.

I don't do Christmas (materialism FTL - if I want something, I buy it), but I've been holding off for a 3G iPhone. Might have to wait until mid-next year for that, though...

Well, the most technical thing I got for Christmas was a new fishing reel, but it's a beauty.

Unfortunately I'm at work today, but I got a late Christmas present in the mail.

It's my invite to the 2008 GUA Conference in Las Vegas at the Wynn!
April 20-23.

Surprised it's not posted on the forums yet.
