I'm curious to know if anyone else is having problems ripping Postscript files -- created in InDesign CS2 -- that contain tints of spot colors. At the PS/M rip, all screened areas of spot color (10%, 20%, etc.) convert to solid (100%).

For some reason, this problem didn't occur with the older CS version of InDesign.

We're running the CS2 software on G5 Macs (OS 10.3.9), and PS/M 7 on a G4 (OS 9.2.2).

Try to turn OFF OPI/APR/DCS and try it again (Preferences > File Handling)

Are the screens truly set as Tints, or is Transparency being used to achieve the screen? The first thing I always try after a file doesn't rip properly on PS/M is to re-rip with PostScript Overprint turned on.
