Job collector NOT working - network volumes

Are there any known limitations to the functionality of the PREPS job collector?

Our CelebraNT 6.1 (FujiFilm) uses an OPI based workflow for late page editing. LR files are generated on the RIP which are then loaded into PREPS on the Mac desktop then printed back to the RIP for processing.

Currently the LR files are loaded from the CelebraNT volume, but this seems to effect the PREPs Job Collector app from being able to "package" (collect) the job when finished.

When dropping a job file onto the collector the following error message appears:

"Error opening job file, it can't be used for collection".

I tried the following tests:

LR files on LOCAL mac - OK

LR files on Windows Server AFP share - X Doesn't collect.

LR files on REMOTE mac - X Doesn't collect.

Is anyone else using CelebraNT LR files with PREPS and experiencing the same issue?

Is there an known issue with the job collector and remotely located run list files?

PREPS : Plus v. 5.3.1
Job collector: 2.4

We are aware of this issue.
The workaround in the meantime would be to use "Maintain Compatibility with previous versions of Preps" in your Preferences, resave your .job files with this new preference and it should work in Job Collector.

The other option being "Cross Platform Compatibility" - Is the only negative to this option not being able to open job files in a Windows copy of PREPS?

(Is so this is fine, we only use PREPS on Mac).

Yes, cross platform is to port your Preps .job file from a Mac environment to a Windows environment, and vice-versa. If you are working on Macs only, there should be no problem.
