Quark 7 Dropshadow

Client provided a Quark 7 file with a spot color logo in a box with a white drop shadow applied in Quark. This is placed over a CMYK jpg image when I output the drop shadow is gone. Seems like it should be something easy but I'm not having any luck. It's like my 2nd monday this week. Any ideas???????

Make sure the drop shadow isn't set to multiply.

Turning off multiply seemed to help. When I ripped the .ps it still disappeared, but if I distilled the .ps it was good. I then ripped the distilled pdf. and it held up. Thanks for the help.
