View Full Version : XP4 White Lines on Proofs

We have white lines showing on XP4 proofs where the Brisque Ct meets either LW or another CT. Proofs look bad. Brisque shows different color area, but same color value. I know this is not a new issue, but need to know how to fix so I can sell these proofs and quit throwing away hundreds of dollars in consumables.

I don't know what version of RIP you are running on the XP4, but have you tried sending separated as opposed to composite? Seems to help us when we get stitching lines by using the recombine option as opposed to sending composite.

We have upgraded our approvals to NX and are using the Genesis RIP. I think what you are probably getting is stitching from the flattening of transparency issue.

You could also drop a tiffit if you are using a Brisque and turn on the recognize tiffit checkbox. That is, if you have a Harlequin RIP on your XP4.

Lastly, if you use the roam function you can check to see if you have any lines showing up, thus stopping the waste of material...
