There ought to be a board for unemployed GUA members (former GUA if the company they worked for are technically the "member"). Even if it is just temporary.
Maybe a discount to GUA members to go to the conference. A cattle call on the stage with a couple of minutes at the mike to make your pitch to potential employers. Or at the very least, give a blind eye to them sneaking in and mingling under the radar.
Just something to help in this economy, which by all measures will get a lot worst in the first quarter of 09.
