View Full Version : Collating Mark A wrong direction

I must be doing this wrong . . .

Preps 5.3.2 / Prinergy
I've placed Collation Mark A - Offset 0 / Offset Origin Head / Width .125 / Length 8.5 / Step Distance .25
The page head faces right on the Preps Template.

The mark is starting at the foot instead of the head.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Step distance should be a negative number (-.25).

Thank you!

Step distance should be a negative number (-.25).

Just want to add a word of explanation....

Preps calculations are based on a lower left corner origin, so L to R is '+', as is bottom to top. That is why you needed a negative number.

Hey lnivin,

In Preps 5.3.2, we've actually added an enhancement so that you do not need to put in the "-" negative number when the collation mark faces differently.

In your default.cfg, look for "-SMARTCOLLATION_STEPFROMOFFSETORIGIN:NO" and change it to YES to get all collation mark to step from the same origin point.

This should get all your new templates working properly, but if you have an old template from a previous version, you would need to go into and remove the "-" with this option.
