I am currently using an EPS/PS workflow and I have a colorbar 42 inches wide. The colorbar has Postscript code in which centers the colorbar in the space provided. Example: 25 inch sheet and the colorbar stops .25 inches from the edge of the sheet, the mark is centered in the 24.5 inch space. Without the postscript code, the mark would start from the left.
I know Preps 6 has the ability to center a dupemark. Does 5.3.2 have the ability to do this for PDF's? To my knowledge, I can't put postscript code inside of a PDF to make it center.
I would test this myself, but we can't open Preps 5.3.2 because we don't have a Blue USB Dongle (iKey). We have the Purple USB Dongle (Eve3 Key). We will be receiving updated dongles this Friday but I am wanting to find an answer before then.
Thanks,
Brian

Brian,
In Preps 5.x and Preps 6 with the addition of the SmartMarks a user can define a mark to start from the center of a Press Sheet and then draw itself within a margin of 0.25" of the Press Sheet edge.
The code you are referring to was one of the methods that we had to utilize with Preps 4.x and earlier. That is no longer the case.

Can you post a screen capture of where to do this at? I am not seeing it. Attached is what I have.

In Preps 5.2 we introduced the two points I have illustrated (in attachment) "Centered" and "Do not apply workflow color calibration".
Based on your screen shot, I think you are working with a version of Preps 5 that predates this feature.
Is it possible that you are working with the AraxiPreps build from your Prinergy server? ...MacName\Applications\Kodak\Prinergy\AraxiPreps. ..
A stand alone version would be located at ...MacName\Applications\Preps [version].
If you are using Prinergy to "Start Imposition" or "Create Imposition' (using an external application), please verify in Prinergy Workshop, Tools, Config Imposition Applications to see where/what version you may be pointing to. Please note that this configuration is workstation specific, so other workstations might have different settings.

That explains it. I am currently running a stand alone Preps 5.1.4.
We can't upgrade to a newer version until we get our upgraded iKey dongle (Blue dongle). We are currently using the Eve3 dongle (Purple dongle). We have placed the order but have been told they are on backorder and they don't know when they will be getting them in.

Where do you specify how much to crop the color bar?

You don't specify a width of the colorbar. Instead, you tell it how far from the edge you want it to be. In my screen capture, I have the Horizontal Margin specified to .25". If my sheet size is 35" wide the colorbar will be 34.5" wide.
