View Full Version : SCO's with same device conditions

I created a new PCO and used GRACoL as the CMYK reference. Then I added our 24" HP Z2100 proofer as an SCO and set the device conditions. Since we have two HP proofers I added another SCO for the second proofer but Colorflow will not let me set the device conditions the same as the first SCO. The message says Device Condition Already Exists. I can't pool the proofers since they aren't curve controlled. Do I need to make another PCO for the second proofer? Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Rick

You need to add a third property in the Device condition Properties dialog that further differentiates that 2nd proofer or create another device with a different name.

solution1:
Device Name - HPZ2100
Device Condition - 7x7, matte

Device name - HPZ2100
Device Condition - 7x7, matte, some other property

Solution 2:
Device Name - HPZ2100 "A"
Device Condition - 7x7, matte

Device name - HPZ2100 "B"
Device Condition - 7x7, matte

dave

Solution 1 worked fine. I did have them named differently i.e. HP Z2100 24" and HP Z2100 42". I just added something to the "other" field and all is well. Thanks.

Out of curiosity, what software are you driving your HPz2100s? We have a similar setup and are adding Colorflow soon.

Mark,

We are using Prinergy, sending to GMG ColorProof and verifying with GMG ProofControl. We have been using GMG for over 2 years. We're real happy with it but since we have ColorFlow I thought I'd give it a try.
