I made a shocking observation today. I was measuring ColorFlow's custom generated targets using the iSisXL and, much to my surprise, the instrument was only making ONE pass at each row. Not only that, it made that pass using the "white LED" light source? In other words, it wasn't not using the "UV LED".

So, is that the case? And what does that mean for the business of "UV-cut"?

Still no reply to this post as of Jan 18 2011? That bad?

It only asks for one pass when done with a hand held. For which I am truly grateful.

With a "handheld" instrument? Which "handheld" LED-based light source instrument do you have in mind?

But the i1-UVcut does not use an LED light source. So it's not comparable to the iSis. No?

I was referring to the point you made about only one pass being made with the iSis. Try using a handheld to scan 3000+ squares...

I've done it in the past, but only on 1617 patches
