Flat Identifier Text info?????

Using Preps 5.2, Mac OS 10.4.6.
Attempting to switch from mixed files- postscript to PDF-PDF workflow.
All my templates contain A "Flat Identifier Text" mark ($JOBNAME, $SIG, $DATE) that images on the plate outside the press sheet area.
Normally it picks up the job name, printed file name and signature number- ie: "CSS1599_CSS_pg001_01A, Run 1, 04/27/2006".
However when printing PDF to PDF file the printed file name and sig number gets left off, as "CSS1599, Run 1, 04/27/2006".
Any idea why and how I can fix this before one of the pressmen kill me!!! They need the low folio and/or sig number for sorting plates.

Yes, well I have now. To no avail.
Why would this work when printing to postscript file, but not to PDF?
Seems to be just picking up the Job Name, but not the print file name.

I'm sorry I just realized you were printing from preps. We had a similiar problem were the marks were working because preps understood them but when to get prinergy to understand them totally we had to add the brackets.

One other thing you could try is more spaces between each identifier maybe they are over lapping each other in the PDF version.
