Press Sheet Edge To Punch Center

When making templetes the default setting for the Press Sheet Edge To Punch Center is at 1.5". How can I change this so that the default is zero?

This is so that each time someone makes a new template we don't have to check to be sure the setting is correct for a particale press or web.

In your .cfg file you will have a line that says
-AMERICAN_PRESS_SHEET_EDGE_TO_PUNCH_CENTER:108.0000

change the value to 0 and you should be set.

In our settings (European) we have to fill in 30.5 mm at the distance.
Do you also know how i can change the default (which is 50 mm) to 30.5 mm?

1. Quit Preps
2. in your default.cfg you find an entry called -METRIC_PRESS_SHEET_EDGE_TO_PUNCH_CENTER:141.7323-
3. change it to 86.456702
4. Start Preps and you should see your 30.5 mm

Thank you, Andreas. I changed the setting and it worked.
While i am at it, do you know if i can change the rest of the default settings?
-Default of width and height is 1000 mm and 700 mm, i want to change that to 1020 and 720 mm
-Default length of center marks is 6 mm, i want to change it to 0 mm
-And the little tab that says "from: Bottom" i want to change it to "None"
I don't know if it can be done, but if it can be done, i really would like to know

Couldn't you just modify an existing template? We have setup a few templates with standard workstyles and sheet sizes with all our marks and other settings. When starting a new job we open one of these modify it then do a save as. If the template is set to a stationary file (on the mac) then the user has to do a save as leaving your original template untouched.

or

-METRIC_SIDE_GUIDE_DISTANCE:283.4646

EDIT: That will let you change the distance. However, the reference side (Botom, etc.) is only saved with individual signatures in template files. The default for the application does not seem to be chancheable.
