Custom reg marks-color bars

Can you make custom marks in Illustrator? Or get them somewhere?
Our press operators prefer an .eps reg mark I made in Illustrator for PressWise (bmp attached), however this same .eps file doesn't consistently appear on all plates in Preps 5.14 (or 5.2 beta). I'm wondering if I'm not saving the mark file from Illustrator in a way Preps likes.
Custom color bars don't work at all.

Does your custom mark appear on all the CMYK Plates and not the Spot color Plates? You might try changing the color to Registration within Illustrator but I don't think that will work (I have not had good results).

You could create a copy of the "fillcirc.eps" mark and modify the postscript code for what you are looking for.

I don't know about preps 5, but I do know this works fine for us in preps 4.2.3. I made colorbars for our shop in illustrator 8 and saved as eps files and they have worked great for a few years. You might try experimenting with different ps levels when saving from illustrator. I think level 3 worked best for us.
