preps 5.2.1 (build 311)
OsX Tiger
Brisque 5

I've been testing this out. It seems to work OK, except that:

?A Flat Identifier Text
-placed at the Y location of 0
-not centered on point
-static mark
-default color setup
?Comes up as missing when the icf is printed to a
brisque 5 + translated.

You can place the text mark any other location/style + it translates
just fine.

Luckily this is just testing + we don't have to rely on this version,
because this flaw alone would throw a Huge wrench into our workflow.

I printed the icf from both versions of preps + looked at the ps data
for issues. Here is what they look like:

5.1.5:

%SCImpBeginMark: 1
%SCImpMarkType: FlatString
%SCImpMarkOrientation: Up
%SCImpMarkOffset: 144.00000 1638.00000
%SCImpMarkSize: 504.00000 18.00000
%SCImpMarkSeparationBlack: 100
%SCImpMarkText: 0 0 Up Helvetica 18.00000 "18753 AMU Front Color"
%SCImpEndMark

5.2.1:

%SCImpBeginMark: 1
%SCImpMarkType: FlatString
%SCImpMarkOrientation: Up
%SCImpMarkOffset: 144.00000 1638.00000
%SCImpMarkSize: 504.00000 18.00000
%SCImpMarkSeparationBlack: 100
%SCImpMarkText: 0 0 Up Helvetica 18.00000 "18753 AMU Front Color"
%SCImpMarkTile: True
%SCImpEndMark

That "Tile" call was not in all the instances of text marks in the same
icf. It only occured when the Y location was the bottom of the sheet.

I took it out using texedit plus + saved. I translated that and it was
correct. Do you guys need me for your R+D team? Assuming there is one..

The culprit was "brisque devices." I selected this when setting up the icf
printer because the device we used before was not on the new Preps' device
list. That device was not crucial before, so i was not worried about it. But I
guess that was a bad call, but the reason is questionable so far.

The preps migration utlility got back the old device (Scitex Dolev PS L2 - which
we don't even have in the shop anymore ironically) and this resulted in a
non-broken icf.

Thanks to the preps R+D team for suggesting the device was the issue. :)

I wonder if those brisque R+D guys can be as easily found.....
